Be in touch II

Lucie Jestrabikova beschäftigt sich in ihrer Arbeit “Be in touch II“ mit dem Berühren und berührt werden. Am Anfang stand für sie das starke Gefühl des Abgeschottet-Seins von der eigenen Umwelt, die Welt durch eine Glasscheibe wahrzunehmen. Dies führt die Künstlerin vor allem auf die langfristige Überlastung mit sowohl visuellen Impulsen als auch Informationen zurück und stellt sich mit “Be in touch II“ die Frage: Kann man auch taktil überlastet sein?

In her work “Be in touch II“, Lucie Jestrabikova is concerned with touching and being touched. She started out with a strong feeling of being isolated from her own environment, perceiving the world through a glass panel. The artist traces this back to, mainly, the long-term overload through both visual impulses and information, and in “Be in touch II“, she asks the question: Can we also be overloaded by tactile sensation?
